Canary Island Palm


The Canary island palm is an alluring date palm from Canary islands. This is one of the most majestic of all palms. Slowly it reaches 60 feet in height. Having a thick trunk this palm is suitable for large landscapes.Due to its salt resistance the palm is often used in coastal gardens. It is often used as a street or avenue palm. Found mostly in the Mediterranean and southern parts of United States.It is higly priced but it is such a great palm. The Canary island palm is the best palm from an architectural point of view.

Washington palm



Washington palm (W.Robusta) is a tropical tall palm tree native to California. It has a tall, slender trunk, up to 100 feet tall and large, fan-shaped leaves that create a dense and compact canopy. Dead fronds hang downward and form a dense hula skirt over the trunk. Washington palm loves sunny locations and well-drained soils. They are sensitive to the winter temperature below 20 degrees F and prefer temperatures about 80 degrees F and higher. Washington palms have low watering needs.
Washington palm (Washingtonia robusta) is often used in street plantings and as a specimen landscape palnt.

Hardy Palm Trees


Hardy palm trees show remarkable qualities to survive in cold winter climates and tolerate a deep winter freeze. The Needle palm, Mazari palma and Windmill palm are known for their frost resistance. There are different types of hardy palm trees that can be grown in northern region: the northern USA and Canada.
